An unbelievable story comes from a small village in Albania. Blendi Fevziu traveled to Ferras, Kozare, to meet Qamile Marra, a woman who, according to the documents presented in the video, was born on August 19, 1909. Yes, you read that correctly: she is said to have lived for more than a century.
Old Albanian documents, including an identity card from the communist era and her current identification document, show the same date of birth. Qamile says she married at the age of 16, worked in agriculture, and spent her entire life between work, family and the hardships of her time. During the interview, she appears cheerful and full of humor, sharing memories from her extraordinary life.
But the detail that makes the story even more remarkable is her date of birth. According to Fevziu’s claim, Qamile was born two days before Ethel Caterham, who is currently recognized as the world’s oldest verified living person. If Qamile’s documents were to be internationally verified, Albania could be home to a remarkable longevity record.
